- Account information — your email address and optional display name when you create an account
- Child profiles — a nickname and emoji avatar chosen by the parent (no real names, photos, or dates of birth)
- Usage data — stories viewed, reading progress, ratings, favorites, and preferences, used to personalize recommendations
- Device information — device platform, app version, and push notification token for delivering notifications
- Crash reports — device model and OS version to help us fix bugs (no personal content is included)
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect a child's real name, date of birth, or photo
- We do not collect location data (GPS)
- We do not collect contact lists or phone numbers
- We do not use advertising trackers or serve ads
- We do not collect payment card details (handled entirely by Apple App Store / Google Play)
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the App — including providing personalized story recommendations, sending push notifications (new stories, bedtime reminders), managing subscriptions, and fixing bugs. We do not use your information for advertising or share it with data brokers.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers to help operate our app. These providers assist us with authentication, crash reporting, push notifications, and subscription management. They only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their function. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Children's Privacy
- Parental consent: A parent must sign in and create the account before a child can use the App.
- No direct data collection from children: Children use the app through parent-created profiles. We do not ask children to provide personal information.
- No advertising: We do not serve ads of any kind.
- No social features: Children cannot post, chat, or interact with other users.
- Minimal data: Child profiles contain only a nickname and emoji avatar.
- Parental controls: Parents can view, edit, or delete child profiles and all associated data at any time.
7. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access your data — contact us and we will provide a summary of your stored information
- Correct your data — update your profile and child profiles directly in the app
- Delete your data — use the in-app account deletion feature or visit our Data Deletion page
- Opt out of notifications — manage notification preferences in the app settings
